Event Information

We have listened to your feedback and are excited to introduce a new cashless system, the Beer Day Out Festival Card. Not a pesky voucher in sight! Our Festival Card, provided by Glownet Event Technology, will make purchasing your beverage, food or merchandise of choice so much easier, and faster.

How does it work? If you include a $20 Festival Card with your ticket purchase (which we highly recommend), you will be given your Festival Card with $20 preloaded to get you started when you enter the gates. If you buy a ticket only, you will need to purchase a Festival Card at a cost of $2.50 (refundable) once inside the venue and load it with as much credit as you wish. All food and drink purchases at Beer Day Out will be paid for using the Festival Card. No cash transactions are permitted. Festival Cards can be purchased or topped up at Festival Currency Stands just inside the Betting Ring or Ticket Caravan and can be topped up using cash, EFTPOS or your credit card.

If you would like the $2.50 deposit you paid for the Currency Card refunded, along with any unused credit, this can be done when you leave the festival at the Festival Currency Stands or Ticket Caravan. Unused currency can be refunded until 8.00pm on Saturday 5 November 2016 at the event.

A wide range of beer and ciders will be available from 25 different local, interstate and international producers and the Beer Day Out Festival Bar. Drink prices will vary, with 100ml tasters from $2.00 and 285ml middy/pot serves from $4.50. Beer paddles with 4 x 100ml tasters will also be available varying in price from $10 – $16.

Food prices will range from $5.00 – $18.00. Refer to the ‘Food’ link for more information about the food stands.
