We import beer from some of Europe’s most innovative and creative small, family breweries. Small batch artisans producers, who make the beer they want to drink and aren’t afraid to push the boundaries of established beer styles. There is a reason or a story for every beer, and they are all delicious!

Troubadour Magma 2015 Special Edition Tripel Spiked Brett.

Once a year, a special batch of Magma is brewed. Magma is an imperial IPA of 9% with the body of a Belgian Tripel, dry-hopped with Simcoe for a true West Coast US feel. The 2015 special edition sees Magma aggressively hopped and then spiked with Brettanomyces yeast.

De Molen Op & Top

As proof that De Molen can also produce lighter style beers, Op & Top is a delicious little beer of 4.5%. It translates as ‘On Top & The Best’, which in the words of the brewery is ‘an all-evening beer to replace lager, but with flavour’. A cross between a British and American style bitter, it is dry-hopped with Amarillo hop.

De Molen Tsarina Esra

De Molen are renowned for their big, dark specialty beers. This beer is an 11% Imperial Porter, which are a stronger version of the strong Baltic Porters made for the Baltic countries. It is a rich, malty beer much in the style of Imperial Stouts, but without the roasted notes; instead a more fruity character.

Troubadour Westkust

Made at the behest of the American importer (Global Beer), who wanted a dark version of the Troubadour Magma. The brewers duly obliged, but with the twist of using three west coast Belgian hops – hence the name. A big mouthful at 9.2%, look for hints of chocolate and coffee, with a dry earthy hop character.

Emelisse Black IPA

Sometimes described as an American Black Ale, this beer splits the divide between an English style and an American style IPA, balanced by a dark, slightly roasted malt backbone. Light in the mouth for 8%, but with a restrained earthy hop character.
